Zen Practice encounters
Soto Zen Buddhism
"Expressing philosophical concepts is useless if they are lacking active expression"
A simple truth, a philosophical principle, remains empty theory and it become food for mind If not expressed in action.
Determination, hope, expectations, and Intensions, however good they may be, do not create any path, direction, or experience.
Buddha's path it's about participation
. Even a simple game cannot be understood unless played first.
The creative action is in the receiving
and participation. In the Zen tradition, education is guided by the vision of the expression of man's authentic nature, in full contact with the surrounding environment.
To see someone else's face and eyes, we simply look into their eyes. To look at our own eyes, we need a mirror. The truth is in the mirror, and the mirror is in the relationship.
It is only within relationships that we are able to comprehend the truth of our authentic nature.
The religion of Zen Implies: to open your eyes In front of the reality of ourselves
To learn, you can go to school or university. To become slim and beautiful, you can go to the gym; the frequency of a "dojo" requires a revolution of one's life.
"To study the way of Buddha Is to study ourselves and to study ourselves Is to forget ourselves, discarding every barrier between yourself and others" Dogen Zenji.
Encounters of zen practice and meditation, seated (zazen) and moving (kin hin) guided by Pasquale Shuten Esposito
